We are proud to be traditional artisan bakers. All our ingredients are fresh and free from any artificial flavours or preservatives, we do not use pre-mixes, we do not par bake, and we never freeze any of our bakes.
CUPCAKES
Vanilla Sponge: A simple, light sponge, made with real vanilla beans, fresh "scratch" ingredients and nothing else!
Contains: Gluten - wheat, Lactose- Milk, Egg.
Chocolate sponge: Similar taste to a chocolate brownie, but with light fluffy texture. Pairs well with chocolate ganache and/or vanilla or chocolate butter cream.

SMALL CHOCOLATE BOMBS - Sphere and Heart shapes.
Made with Callebaut dark chocolate. Vegan, Gluten Free, Halal & OK Kosher Diary.

FILLINGS AND FINISHES
American butter cream: This is the traditional icing/frosting, we all know. It is made with butter and icing sugar.
Contains: Lactose - Milk, Butter.
Chocolate ganache: This is a decadent dark chocolate icing used between layers and also to cover the cake before the fondant decoration we usually use this as a filling with a biscuit cake or a chocolate sponge cake and for the drips over cakes. We like to pair this with a simple vanilla butter-cream to balance the tartness of dark chocolate.
Contains: Lactose, Milk. May contain nuts.
Home-made Jam: Only as a filling - strawberry. May contain sulphites.
Others / Toppings:
Fresh Fruit, Caramel, Chocolate chips, Chocolate Sweets, Sugar Sweets, Ferrero Rocher, Raffaello Macarons, Oreos, nuts etc can all be added as fillings to give a little extra texture and bite.
Contains: Barley, Lactose - Milk, Soya, Gluten - wheat, Milk, Barley Malt Extract.
May contain nuts and sulphites.
Edible Image Paper
Our edible image paper is free from: Gluten, Lactose, Nuts and Eggs. It is Kosher and Halal and suitable for vegans.
Allergens
Our kitchen contains a wide variety of ingredients, we therefore cannot guarantee that a trace amount of allergens i.e. nuts, gluten, diary, eggs and other possible allergens will not be present in any of our bakes. Allergens are in bold.
Do you make Vegan/Gluten Free/Dairy Free/Nut free?
No unfortunately our cakes may contain butter, wheat flour, eggs and we are unable to substitute these ingredients, our cakes may also contain nuts and are made in an environment that handles nuts and soy. We cannot guarantee that the cakes will not contain traces of these elements due to the nature of our production. We accept no liability for a customer suffering an allergic reaction from consuming our cakes.
If I have a nut-allergy, should I eat a bake from The Cake Lab Bakery?
We avoid using nuts in our bakery however, The Cake Lab Bakery is NOT a completely nut-free bakery. We recommend that customers with nut allergies err on the side of caution and refrain from eating our bakes.
